Water movie technology is a multimedia technology that emits a beam of light on the surface of the water and displays a strong stereoscopic film effect. The water movie fountain was produced in the late 1980s, but its early appearance only appeared in large cities such as France and Japan. Because the water screen movie has an unparalleled optical effect, when the movie is played, the color is fresh and vivid, and the subtitles are clear.

Questions about movie fountains

 

A:  What type of projection can be made on a water screen?

The water screen can receive video projection and laser projection. The pressurized and semicircular water surface of the water screen requires a specific, denser and precise projection content at the heart of the water screen where the quality is maximum.



B: Can the water screen be used indoor/outdoor?

The water screen is designed for outdoor use.
With enough space for a large pool, and important ceiling heights, the water screen can sometimes be installed indoor.



C: Can we use the water screen by daytime?

Like any other projection support, the projection on the water screen is not possible by day since the projector's light source is not powerful enough for daylight

D: What is the standard installation of a water screen?

The water screen can be installed in a receiving pool which must be longer than the length of the screen and wider than the height of the screen.
It can also be installed on our floating structures to be exploited at sea or in a lake, or in an existing pool or on a barge provided by you.

 

E: Can the projection on water screen be done from the front?

Any projection on a water surface, thus on the water screen, must be done with rear projection to benefit from all the luminous power of the projector; the projector must be installed at the back of the water screen, facing the public, while taking care to avoid the hot spot.

Main Fountain Equipments

The main equipments are the nozzle, generator, pump, sound system and the control system.



 

 

normally a 0.8m water depth is enough for a movie fountain. If it is set into a lake with water depth more than 2m, then we need to add floating system. It it iron made floating system with anti rust paint. The equipment will be moved into the water with crane.

Other Fountain types we can do

 

1/ Music dancing fountain
It is one of the most popular fountain types. We set special music programmer in the control cabinet. When the fountain is on with the music, the water spray will go up and down with the music rhythm.

2/ Movie fountain
The movie fountain is actually very easy type. Working with high power rate customized pump, the fountain equipment will create large fan shaped water screen. The customer can use projector to do projection on the screen as movies. It is mostly set outdoors in large lake or rivers.

3/ Floating fountain
Floating fountain is set in large lake or river with the depth more than 2m. For small projects, we have plastic floating system. For big outdoor projects, we need to use iron made floating system with anti rust paint for supporting. The fountain performance will not be influenced by water level change.

4/ Common programmed fountain
It is the easiest type. The fountain spray is fixed after adjustments. It is always on, no other change.

5/ Digital curtain fountain
The digital curtain fountains can be used as water source for movie projection as well. All the nozzles are set with solenoid valves which create very thick water going down from the top nozzles. The water will show letters, photos etc or maybe just pure water performance.

6/ Fire fountain
We have two kinds of fire fountains: fire with water and pure fire. They are mostly used for large outdoor shows.

7/ Digital fountains
We have both 180 degree and 360 degree swing fountains available. The dubai fountain is made by this kind nozzles
